Why become a PADI Divemaster?
The life of a PADI divemaster is rewarding, fun and exciting. It also gives you the chance to travel the world and dive in exotic locations.
Here at IDP we want you to experience it all. We offer divemaster programs through Liquid Dive Dumaguete and Atmosphere Resorts. Both PADI 5* CDC centers guarantee the best training under the guidance of our 3 in house Course Directors.
The PADI divemaster course involves a number of classroom sessions covering 9 chapters of the divemaster manual, 2 part comprehensive theory exam covering topics from diving physics to equipment; and a number of water skill development sessions which include assisting instructors, leading recreational divers, conducting divemaster programs and a skill circuit.
In order to enroll in a divemaster course there are a number of pre-requisites that you need to meet.
As 5* CDC Dive Centers we take standards very seriously, as such we include all the required PADI divemaster materials and we do not cut corners and simply go through the motions. The diving industry is a competitive industry and we want to make sure that you are fully prepared and trained to head out into the world of diving and be a successful divemaster.
In order to sign up for your divemaster program you need the following pre-requisites:
- 18 years of age
- Certified PADI Advanced and Rescue Diver (or equivalent rating)
- Completed EFR primary and secondary care training within 24 months
- Medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within 12 months
